He chose the Rebels over his other two finalists Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

"I took my time in the process so I could find the right place for myself," Treadwell said. "There was one school that developed a great relationship with my mom and myself and I enjoyed the players and the university.

"I chose Ole Miss because I wanted to be part of something special. This program is on the rise with the new coaching staff. Coach (Hugh) Freeze is doing a great job of developing young man."

Treadwell was surrounded by family, friends and coaches for his decision.

He is the 21st commit for Ole Miss in the class-of-2013.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Treadwell led Crete-Monee to a state championship as a senior. He caught 81 passes for 1,424 yards and 16 touchdowns.
