The big visit weekend got off to a roaring start for Ole Miss with a late Friday night commitment from Cedar Hill, Texas, wide receiver Quincy Adeboyejo.
The former Texas A&M commitment arrived in Oxford for his official visit late Friday afternoon and only hours later had made up his mind.
“I planned on announcing on the 29th but why wait when you know where you need to be? Ole Miss is home,” Adeboyejo tweeted out.
Adeboyejo announced his commitment via Twitter by tweeting, “I’m home.” He followed that tweet up with, “I’m a Rebel baby.”
He followed those tweets up with a message to future teammate Laquon Treadwell via Twitter: “Let’s go take over the SEC bro.” Treadwell, the nation's top-rated wide receiver, is also in Oxford this weekend on an unofficial visit.
Adeboyejo is rated as the nation’s No. 66 wide receiver by the 247Composite.
The 6-3, 180-pounder reported offers from Ole Miss, TCU, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Colorado, UCLA, West Virginia, Clemson and Texas A&M. He de-committed from Texas A&M on Jan. 6 and Ole Miss quickly became a contender for his services.
The 6-3, 180-pound Adeboyejo caught 91 passes for 1,265 yards and 17 touchdowns this season for Cedar Hills High School. He is the 23rd commitment in the Rebels’ 2013 class which is currently ranked No. 9 in the 247Sports national team rankings.
