We told you last week that we felt Marquel might commit this weekend. I spoke to him at length last night, and he planned on leaving without committing. A good night's sleep and conversations with his family pushed him over the hedge. No doubt, he is a huge pick up in an area where the Rebels need help now and in the future. Combs is an NFL prospect at defensive tackle.

Combs is as good as they come this year with DTs. The Rebels have landed maybe the best DT out there for 2013. I think this is only the beginning for Hugh Freeze.

I agree with Rev. He might just be the best defensive tackle out there. Imagine him with Channing Ward, CJ Johnson, Isaac Gross and maybe Robert Kemdiche. Combs already has NFL scouts drooling.

Oh man, with Gross coming from South Panola to plat a DT and Ward, Johnson and maybe Robert Nkemdiche, Ole Miss could have the best defensive front in America in 2013 or at least by 2014. Good job with this one David! You all but told last week Combs was coming!

Well let's all be glad Combs' first spring practice won't be until 2013. If he were here now, as bad as our O-line is, I have feeling Barry and Bo would be deceased by now.

People don't be shocked by this, we have a coaching staff that's working. We deserve these guys. Ole Miss was competing at a high level just three years ago. I'm with Coach Freeze all the way. Win the Day!!!!

hey Psycho I'm not shocked at all. I will say this we can almost put the past staff behind us. We have a great group of guys representing our University. Coach Freeze and this staff is simply doing their job and loving it. This was Huge getting Combs!!

Freeze and his staff are masterful at the art of recruiting. Combs could have went anywhere. Mississippi State also wanted him very much. He chose Ole Miss. That says it all!
