Granted, there really isn't much to it but it's another blow to Ole MIss' image and won't help with recruiting. They watch a 30 for 30 and feel inspired. Way to go students...

sounds a lot worse than it actually is, but it's still unacceptable and embarrassing to the image of ole miss and mississippi in general. sigh
EJ Epperson put something bout it on Facebook last night, figured there would be more on it today. It's really people putting a lot more into it than what really happened. It wasn't a riot, just a bunch of idiot kids protesting. I'm a Republican, I hated the outcome last night but it's over and done with. We just have to move on, no sense for crap like this.. the only thing it's doing is giving the University of Mississippi a bad name.
Get em all send om back to tennessee georgia and florida in search of talent this is our State- Oxfordawg
i watched the videos and pictures. it didnt really seem like anything all that bad actually happened.
that being said, i wish it wouldnt have happened just for the image of the state of Mississippi.
it really sucks when an ignorant few cast an image for a larger group (i am not calling Ole Miss the ignorant few here, please recognize that. i mean that an ignorant few at Ole Miss, cast that image for the entire group at Ole Miss and for the state of Mississippi.)
it really sucks that it comes off the heals of the "Ghosts" 30 for 30. That documentary did not present a pretty past but did make it look like a lot of things have come forward in the present. And to have this happen right after that just sucks.
The whole event is obviously being overblown, but i really wish it didnt happen
$50 bet with Rebels10 - Best of 3 Egg Bowls
**the $50 goes to others schools athletics dept**
Well I know this. If your white and burn an Obama sign its automatically racist. These bone head reporters like to be the first to get the news out wether it's the truth or not. They new what would happen with this when they started the first reports without really knowing the truth. Just what ole miss needs.
If Romney would've won the same thing would've happened at a local SWAC school
PositivePete- Dasshatriggeman is a bama plant on this site. His dugie houser underling always up votes him.
Are you serious?!?! If that's not an us versus them attitude then I don't know what is! You sir are in the same category as the idiots that participated in that mess last night!!!!
Thank you! You're exactly right dude, +1!
Was thinking this exact thing. You just posted it before me. +1
let me guess.. a Gary Johnson supporter?
Plenty of obama supporters at ole miss that are white..... so not sure about the swac comment...and what difference does it make....the students doing this are idiots and folk want to bring back from Dixie with love.....please ...what a joke
All this proved to me is that there are way too many students at ole Miss that are just plain idiots...sorry...but it is just the truth

Dude chill, it wasn't even more than 10 people doing this crap.. we all hate it but the dude's point is that Ole Miss ain't the only school that's prone to do something like this!
This pic represents the real Ole Miss to me. Just hope it makes the rounds as quickly as the other!

The more I hear about the events that transpired, the less I think should be made of them in the media, but that does not make them any more appropriate. Regardless of the scale, it was disgusting and shameful. Ole Miss and the State of Mississippi already have the deck stacked against us. The last thing we need is to shoot ourselves in the foot in this manner.
That said, I am proud of Chancellor Jones' response and the turnout at tonight's candlelight vigil.
Well said. I heard it on one of the Memphis stations this evening and then saw this from the Washington Post by way of the Drudge report.
Thus far, the response of the administration has been appropriate. There are no excuses made. I would like to hear more about the student's response tonight.
