Can you guys imagine if Archie would have listened to some of those "experts" out there that said that Mike Leach would be the best coach for our team and that we should hire him.
Obviously hindsight is 20/20 but good grief could yall imagine what this team would look like under that idiot.
So all of you that are saying stuff about firing freeze--you need to realize that we have a really good head coach that leads our program in all aspects. Regardless of wins and losses coach freeze was the right hire. If we end the season 7-5 or 5-7 I still think he was the right hire and has us going in the right direction.
The last name "Leach" is enough not to like him, but if you want real evidence just look him up on youtube. I'm glad the committee didn't go that route.
The Future Is Bright! Hotty Toddy
yes! He was cussing the crap out of his team after a 20-13 VICTORY over Baylor
He's doing awful at Washington State in his first year, gonna take a major rebuilding project
PositivePete- Dasshatriggeman is a bama plant on this site. His dugie houser underling always up votes him.
I agree, Leach might know offenses, but when it comes to leading young men, particularly by example, I don't think he's been exemplary at it. I have an 18 year old son playing ball, and I don't want him leading my son with that mouth and attitude of his, I can assure you of that. If you think this is conjecture, do like someone else suggested and watch a few of his YouTube videos from TT.
I would trust Freeze with my kid any day, and would hand him the reigns to do with him as he pleases without blinking an eye. I could not say the same about Leach! Give Hugh time and we are going to be a team to be reckoned with in the SEC. He's smart, innovative, hard working, a "positive" leader and has good morals, not to mention that he's a pretty darn good football coach.
There is a reason we have so many good players interested in Ole Miss suddenly. It's certainly not our on field play from recent years, and it's not because we have been a power house in the SEC either. Think about that for a moment and I think you will agree that it's because players like what they see in our current coaching staff! A lot of young players are influenced by their "moma's" and moma's, along with everyone else, are going to like Hugh Freeze when they see the results on and off the field over the coming years. Trust me on this one!
The YouTube videos you refer to are among the primary reasons I supported hiring him last winter!
To each his own.
I can see it now
"How are we suppose to beat L-S- f**ing - U?"
After seeing the video of him reaming his team after a VICTORY, could you imagine what would be said after a travesty like this past Saturday night? lol
He would lock them all in a suana!!
Don't forget why he is no longer employed at TT either. That same mouth and attitude cost him his job there. I want to win as much as anybody, but you don't sell your soul to the devil to do it. Hugh is going to do it the right way, and I have no doubt he's going to get us to the championship game before it's over.
Not worth going too deep into the details - I think we all got enough of them last year during the coaching search - but Leach is not employed at TTU any more thanks solely to a couple of fools from the James family.
