Today I'm gonna have to go with Rb Jeff Scott who is probably gonna benefit the most from coach Freeze's spread offense. Scott has world class speed and when he gets the corner your not gonna catch him. Look for Scott to have a big year and possibly 3 or 4 punt return Tds
I am looking forward to seeing what Walton does ..... IMO every bit as exciting as NB was and more. I really think that Mackey and Singleton will both pull off plays on a regular basis as the staff finds the right packages for them.

With Scott, Walton and Mathers that is alot of speed coming out of the backfield and plus add singleton in there too like you said. It might take some time but this is gonna be an exciting offense to watch
Awwww.. Does him feel bad cause he doesn't have anyone on his team with that speed???? Poor fewwa....
The Future Is Bright! Hotty Toddy
Nope feel bad this is the most intellectually gifted individual on this board... there used to be some I could enjoy talking to on here but maybe school will start back and the people with some sense can start posting again instead of the board being clogged with a bunch of intellectual misfits babbling on and on...

Hey, on a more serious note, who are you most looking forward to seeing play for the dogs?
Morrow, been a while since we've had someone with size and speed, interested to see who will step up to fill Ballards shoes also
Sorry, not familiar with morrow. What position does he play?
Been awhile?? More like never!!
WR, 6'4 4.4 to 4.5 speed freshman so we'll see what he can do this year been needing someone to stretch the field like Wallace did for ya'll...opens up your offense in a lot of different ways
Pre- School has really come a long ways I can't believe they have already taught you how to read and write... AMAZING!
Sounds like he has good size and speed. Wish we had another Wallace! I always wonder how 09 would've gone had he stayed. I believe he was on to Nutts and was getting out while the getting was good.
Who's gonna get the ball to him because we all know Tyler Russell will be running for his life
I am sorry but Jeff Scott will not succed in this league. The reason why he that "World Class" speed is because he weighs 175 lbs wet and two bricks in his pocket.

I agree it's rough on a smaller back Mcluster made it but he was so shifty it was hard to get a solid hit on him almost always took the hit from his side, but when he did get hit solid you could tell he was undersized. Mathers looks to have size if he can adjust I think he will be your back. O line will have to improve for anyone to make it
Hmm.... someone else that was 175 that played for Ole Miss did pretty well..(Well..actually his weight was only 165.... I think he plays for the chiefs. I could be wrong.
But you are right... Scott won't hardly contribute.

I don't know, i think Scott will contribute greatly. This will be his third year to play SEC ball and i think his experience will show. I am kinda worried about where his mind is though. He had some issues last season that grounded him. I hope he has gotten past his own demons.
I think he has the ability to contribute but so far I haven't seen the heart to get passed mediocrity. His size is a disadvantage but he could contribute maybe not every down but could do so in a role where he can use speed without having to bruise up through the middle
Completely ignore last year with Scott. He was put in a terrible position, none his fault. Bolden and Davis both got injured early, leaving Scott as the only RB with any experience. By the time Bolden and Davis returned the season was a disaster (as in the coaches and team quit). Scott is a situational back, as will most of our RB's be in Freeze's Offense. I see Scott contributing much more this year if he keeps his head straight like the poster above said.
You've sown the wind and now you shall reap.... the Barry.
If Scott was mediocre last year...that puts him way ahead of the rest of the team. We hope to change all of that in future. Look I cant say a thing...when you suck as bad as we have the past 2 years... I can't say a thing....but when you think of play makers on the Ole Miss team... Scott is the FIRST player you have to consider on the Ole Miss team. He does not suck.... now....can his attitude change to become a leader? Not sure...but if it does... Scott will be a major player on this team. That is a fact. Hope it does...and he changes his fortune...he is a NFL type talent... I have no question about that.....if he can focus his mind and body.
Everybody wants to compare Jeff Scott to McCluster. That's not doing McCluster justice. McCluster was a playmaker. Yea Scott can bust it down the sidelines. McCluster ran through the Oline and took what hole necessary. Imo we need to move on from from McCluster and stop comparing him to every back that is 165 lbs
I agree Mcluster was in a league of his own as a small back. I personally am not a fan of small backs. I was never impressed with Rainey or Demps while they were at UF and their production suffered and did not win as many games. Golliday at LSU was not that productive compared there bigger backs. Bama used Ingram then Richardson and Lacey and won national titles. Not every 170 lb RB with speed is a Mcluster they are few and far between. With all the new offenses in college football today POWER football and stingy defense still seems to win in the end. I don't think you could pack anymore talent into a passing attack than Arkansas the past 2 years and still they could not get to that next level
Definitely! Run DMC is is a special player and OM reaped the benefits of his college career. Jeff Scott couldn't carry McCluster's jock strap. Scott is fast but he can't cut like Dex.
