I can't discount the fact that something went on the night of the election, but a riot? Come on people, we live in the USA. There is such a thing as freedom of expression.
Whatever a small group of college students did shouldn't have a direct reflection on the University of Mississippi. The national media has spoken and it's too little too late to try to fix the adjective used to describe the actions of just a small group of simple minded youth.
What took place is not the Ole Miss that I attended and it's not the Ole Miss that I love.
Ole Miss is a great place to attend school and a great place to make lasting relationships. I pray that all goes well in Washington DC, but people don't destroy what this University has had to over come with simple mischief.

Right on man. The media WANTS for the reports of "Riot" to be true.

truth. it sucks that the actions of very few impact the image of mississippi and ole miss in a negative light. people tend to only see the bad and overlook the good. =[
Doesn't happen often but Finebaum takes up and speaks well of Ole Miss. He condemned the students actions of course but said no school has done more or came further than Ole Miss. He said he knows the people who run the school and they are good people and Ole Miss is a good school.
Yea sucks big T totally blown out of popprtion !! I live in New Orleans and today saw a guy with a sign protesting the so called riot tried to educate him on what went down
