Old school fans get your head outta your butt

  • I can not believe some of the fans comments this weekend as I was watching the game at the bar. I was decked out in my Rebel Red and Blue and felt embarrassed. It seemed as if some of the "older" fans were saying the same old thing. "This is the same Ole Miss..Nothing changes. Our coach is sub par at best. We suck." I had to leave Wild Wings and go somewhere else. I am SICK and tired of hearing all the negativity. We are MUCH better than the past 2 years. We did well against Georgia. They just have depth and are a true top 10 talent. I am embarrassed because some of those old schoolers are acting like Mullen pipe dream believers. These people need to get their head out of their butt and act mature and come to reality. Stop acting like delusional State fans. We will be fine. What scares me most is some of these crazed radicals running off a recruit or two. Did anybody not learn from the MSU/CJ Johnson debacle? The entire country now uses MSU as the poster child example on what not to do to a recruit. Now, please people....stop whining and get it together. Still have a lot of football left.. We can do it!!! Hotty Toddy!!!!

  • Couldn't of said it better myself. People don't realize what having 65 scholarships does to you. That's 20 short for those who don't know( duh). Freeze can't run the offence he wants without depth. Look at a and m this year, that's where we will be minus Johnny football. This offence can and will work in the sec. We just gotta go through some growing pains to get to where we wanna be. So please jump off the wagon, but I bet my left nutt you'll be wanting back on in a few years. Were we supposed to beat georgia, uh no. Hotty toddy.

  • Damn Slippy, my MSMoo buddies were telling me, y'all got beat just as bad as we did, to which I said, not hardly cow-patty breath, We were leading right before the half. On the other hand, you guys got Skull Drug FROM WORD GO! And Don't forget, we were beating that team by 10 with 5:00 mins to go!
    Y'all thought you were good/great...y'all Were WRONG! We think we are getting better and will continue to do so under Freeze...We Are RIGHT! Hotty Toddy and keep the Faith!!!

    ive noticed the same thing for years both in the stands and out. while not all do this most do. its like looking at bama fans before saban as they waited for the next Bear Bryant. Stop looking for the next Johnny Vaught. this isnt the good ol days when you could dress 20 players and compete with anyone. you MUST have depth these days and we dont. The way our offense is set up is to run full throttle all the time and we cant do that because the defense has zero depth. we all saw the fall off due to a couple of guys missing. thats the difference in us and the alabama's and georgia's of the world, if we lose someone we dont have an equal player there. And we could never kick our offense into overdrive because of how tired the defense got. I have said time and again on here that everyone was on the same page on day 1 but as soon as we won 2 games we had people running into delusional land that we are a great team. We have been playing well above our heads for the entire season and it just got exposed saturday. who on this board predicted 6+ wins before the UCA game????

  • Ole Miss is on the right track, it just takes time. Freeze is a hell of a coach and will get you guys there. Much better football team than last year.

  • i have been to every game and have noticed the older fans do not participate in anything...from red out or blue out to the hotty toddy cheer..but the students dont fill up the student section and alot of the ones that do leave early even when we are winning....i watched the miss mistake game the other day and they had a white out and the whole stadium was white except for a few people wearing maroon and i have taken pictures of our games when we were trying to do something and you will see all kinds of different colors..we need better participation and probably better communication..Hotty Toddy
