  • while you do make a point....however, as a coach...if there is any question, you don't want to name a starter till Fall. That keeps both parties motivated. You name your starter half way through August practice....and go with it.

    You are correct in that we don't have a dominate SEC type QB. But even if we did.... you would not know it because of the shaky situation of the OL.

    I agree with ruready 16. You do not want to name a starter until August. It keeps both QBs engaged and pushing one another. Plus, spring doesn't offer a long enough evaluation time when you consider the implementation of the new system.

  • i can see what you mean... and now that i think of it, since it is Freeze first year he can do this because he honestly doesnt know... but look around the nation... take FSU for example... they have a QB battle going on... the second string QB battle and starter for 2013-2014 season... i know its impossible for Freeze to have a starter because its his first year... but i would like to get ahead... i have ZERO complaints about Freeze so far, he has done everything right in my opinion...

  • I think we all are just having flashbacks of last seasons "fill their head full of crap about the QB position and hope for the best" type of coaching and lies to the media( i know i am). I believe Freeze will put the best guy out there. Not sure what that will mean or what that guy will look like playing but i think he will be the best we have.

    The fans will have to be patience with this battle. This staff is not the staff of 2011 folks. There is true competition going on at practice. I agree with you brah on this, but the rebel nation has to show some faith.
